Titus
is the 56th book of the Bible written in
approximately A.D. 63.
Titus was a Greek believer whom Paul left on the isle of
Crete. His mission was to be the leader and set their
church in order. Paul stressed in this epistle the need
of the Church, both the elders and the congregation, to
portray Christian values on a daily basis. The Church on
Crete was full of false teachers and liers that preached
a false doctrine which created a division within the
congregation. As Paul stated in this epistle, "Good
works are desirable and profitable for all
believers".
In the 46 verses of all 3 chapters, Paul reminds Titus
of the reason he was left in Crete and directs him on
how to finish planting the Church in Crete. The roles
(from being in different groups of the body to being an
elder) of the people in a Church still apply today. Read
the Book of Titus to learn what role we have and what
our conduct should be in the Christian Church body
today.

As a final note: We have found that when we pray before
reading God's Word, the knowledge and understanding
gained from it is far more than if we just start reading
it. God's Word is alive and can touch us and meet us
where we are, if we communicate to our Father openly and
honestly about things that are going on in our lives. We
encourage you to do the same. We also encourage you (if
you do not already attend a Bible believing, preaching
Christian Church or fellowship) to somehow find a way to
do so. Being around fellow Christian brothers and
sisters in the Lord, truly makes a difference in our
lives. May the Lord bless you and keep you and make His
face to shine upon you.
